Bio

Andrew Lipow is quickly becoming one of Nashville’s most in-demand guitarists and composers. He is currently releasing original songs co-written with dreampop artist, Palm Ghosts under the name Slow Motion Music.  The sound of the music is a perfect blend of electronica influenced psychedelic rock and will be released on Ice Queen Records in the US and Ezhevika in Europe.

In addition to writing original songs, Lipow also composes instrumental music for television and has written cues for the Discovery Channel, Discovery ID and TLC.

Lipow was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York, a large and diverse community just north of New York City.  When he was not in school, Andrew was either rehearsing with his rock band or studying jazz under the tutelage of some of the finest guitarists in NYC.  After attending Vassar College with a degree in Music, he moved to the Netherlands to record an album of original songs, under the pseudonym, Warpold Wine.  Upon returning to the States, he spent the following years recording in studios as a session musician while obtaining a Masters of Music in Studio Composition from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music.

Andrew Lipow now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where he performs, tours and records with some of the city’s most preeminent artists.
